Life often has a knack for steering us through unexpected adventures, guiding us along uncharted paths we could never have foreseen. In my case, the journey from dream to reality of playing Professional Baseball, to a career in Sales and eventually co-founding Mementix, a revolutionary social ticket and event management app, encapsulates the unusual essence of life's unpredictability. In this blog post, I'm thrilled to take you on a glimpse into our ambitious vision for the future.

Introduction After graduating with a degree in Sport Management from St. John's University in 2017, I had the opportunity to chase my lifelong dream of playing professional baseball with the New York Mets. My time on the field, although brief, was an exhilarating journey filled with unforgettable experiences. The constant travel, the valuable connections I made, and the profound life lessons I learned during that period have left an indelible mark on me.

However, as fate would have it, a couple of injury-ridden years and the unexpected twists of life led me to a realization my career could be coming to an end. When I decided to step away, I found myself grappling with the age-old question that plagues many athletes: "What's next?" The Inception of Mementix

The journey of Mementix began with the sort of conversations we've all had with friends: "Who wants to start a company?" These conversations evolved into concrete discussions with Evan Wade, my co-founder. We'd sit in coffee shops and restaurants, armed with pen and paper, brainstorming our vision.

During those sessions, we identified a common challenge we could all relate to: the difficulty of revisiting memories scattered across various digital platforms, eMails and text messages. In a world where tangible tickets were becoming rare, Mementix emerged as our solution, a way to consolidate those scattered memories and make them readily accessible.

The Core Mission of Mementix

At the core of Mementix lies a simple yet powerful mission: to make it effortless for friends and family to plan, save, and revisit memorable events. We firmly believe that every ticket narrates a story, and every event is brimming with moments worth cherishing….We all attend events, from concerts and sports games to parties and family gatherings. Mementix was born to capture and safeguard those memories, ensuring they're never lost in the digital whirlwind.

The Mementix App

Mementix isn't just an app; it's a vibrant social event platform. With Mementix, you can seamlessly plan, share, and relive your experiences. Connect with friends, coordinate your events, collect ticket stubs, save photos and videos, and engage in group chats.

Team Building and Challenges

Evan and I embarked on this journey with minimal experience in app development, the tech industry, or ticket management. But our unwavering determination to transform our idea into reality led us to spend countless hours each week brainstorming, researching, and learning. With Evan's connections from attentending Bentley University, we found a development team to bring our concepts to life. As things gained momentum, we recognized the need for an experienced CEO.

That's when Bill entered the picture. Intrigued by conversations about Mementix Bill had overheard at a friends’ get together, Bill reached out to Evan and I, and we swiftly recognized the potential. We brought Bill on board as our full-time CEO.

The Long-Term Vision

Our long-term vision for Mementix is clear, though undeniably ambitious. In a world dominated by digital and social experiences, we aspire to become the go-to app for collecting and managing event memories. Think of it as a fusion of Ticketmaster, Instagram, Eventbrite, and Apple Photos shared albums — all rolled into one app. We are resolute in our mission to leave a lasting imprint on the event and entertainment industry by delivering a seamless and comprehensive experience for our users.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.
